America’s once Most Expensive Home Pricechopped Further; Now Asking $130 Million (VIDEO)

Once upon a time, there was a large estate that proudly held the title of "America's Most Expensive Home" with a price tag of $190 million. It garnered all the attention a 'King' or 'Queen' would receive. But over time, when no buyers came to claim it, the price was mercilessly brought down to $140 million and to further dampen its glory, the mansion has been given another $10 million pricechopper to list at $130 million.

Copper Beech Farm, the grand water-front estate in Greenwich, Connecticut now sports a discounted price tag in hope of finding its 'Happily Ever After' (buyer).

According to the listing records, the residence is set in a 50 acre beach-front lot. Built in 1898, the home is a 13,519 square feet single-family residence, comprising of 12 bedrooms, seven full and two half bathrooms.

Living spaces include a formal living room, a solarium, a library, a family room and a sleeping porch. A modern kitchen, a lower-level wine cellar, a dressing room, a sitting room and more than two laundry rooms are some of its other features.

Outside, the residence has vast stretches of landscaped green gardens stocked with flowering trees and shrubs. Open patios, porches and a viewing pergola also exists on the property. A clock tower completes the stone carriage house, which has ample space for parking numerous cars. The property also has greenhouses. A three-bedroom cottage sits near the entrance of the property, which can be used as staff quarters or a guest house.

Other amenities include a 75 foot heated pool, a tennis court and a large spa as well.

Copper Beech Farm has passed its crown on to the Crespi-Hicks Estate, which is still listed for $135 million, reports Curbed. However, there is the Jackson Horse and Cattle Ranch, which sits listed for $175 million. But since it is viewed more like a working farm, the Crespi-Hicks estate is a fitting suitor for the crown of 'America's Most Expensive Home'.
