Ronan Farrow Buys $1.49 Million Upper West Side Residence

Ronan Farrow, son of actress Mia Farrow, has made his first real estate purchase. He reportedly bought a cool bachelor pad on the Upper West Side of New York City for $1.49 million, sources reveal.

The New York Post broke news of the deal. Farrow has snagged a 982 square feet, modest condo comprising of two beds and two bathrooms.

Sitting on the 15th story of the Hudson Apartment building at 225 West 60th Street, the residence has light hardwood floors and large floor-to-ceiling glass windows that offer panoramic views of the city.

Buying an apartment in the city makes sense, especially as Farrow is gearing up for his upcoming talk show to air on MSNBC. With the talk show, Farrow hopes to take his activism to another level and induce young viewers' involvement in news.

"I think what people crave is more involvement in the story. There has been a democratization of information. But what they still crave, and what I crave as a TV viewer, is a guide on how people can have agency in the story. And this show is all about empowering people to do that. People want a return to real democracy. They want to respond to these events that there is so much frustration about," Farrow told The Hollywood Reporter.

His book 'Pandora's Box: How American Military Aid Creates America's Enemies' is also up for release in 2015.

Farrow hails from a huge family and he grew up with 13 other kids. Eight were Mia Farrow's own, while the rest were adopted. In the October 2013 issue of Vanity Fair, Mia opened up about Ronan's striking resemblance to the 'Sultan of Swoon' Frank Sinatra and said Ronan could 'possibly' be the Jazz crooner's son.
