"The Young and The Restless" star Greg Rikaart who is popularly known as Kevin Fisher is up for some "Major Crimes."
Greg will be joining the cast of TNT's drama show, "Major Crimes." According to Soaps She Knows, Greg will take on the role of Bobby G. Monroe. He will appear on Monday, Nov. 16 episode entitled, "Reality Check." His role as Bobby was described as a "confident young lawyer" who happened to be an anti-death penalty activist. He is said to be defending Slider (Garrett Coffey), who is waiting for his trial case for the murder of Alice Herrera.
Kevin's fans on "The Young and The Restless" need not to worry about anything because Rikaart is committed to stay on the CBS soap and at the same time, be part of TNT's primetime drama, says Soap Shows.
It has been reported that the Emmy Award actor's role on "Major Crimes" will be his "18th television guest role." Rikaart also appeared on other hit TV shows which include "CSI: Miami," "The Closer," "Bones" and "Dawson's Creek."
In 2013, Rikaart came out in public that he is gay and in May, Rikaart and his longtime partner and TV writer Robert Sudduth tied the knot. The intimate wedding which was joined by their family and friends took place in Maui.
Rikaart shared the joyous event to his fans as he posted a romantic photo on his Twitter page. He captioned the photo "Holy matrimony."
With that, Rikaart also wished that his character as Kevin on "The Young and The Restless" will "come out" already. He said, "I think it would be a super interesting story to tell. I think it would be more socially responsible than just bringing on a gay character - to have someone on the canvas that the audience knows and thinks of as family and takes that (coming out) journey."
