A 19-year-old man was arrested just outside the Tarzana, Los Angeles, home of Selena Gomez, the 'Come and Get It' crooner, after he was found lurking outside for a considerable amount of time, according to several news reports.
A family member of Gomez called 911, Sunday morning after they spotted a suspicious figure loitering near the property. Officials arrested the man on the scene and booked him on suspicion of trespassing, reports The Daily Mail.
The Toronto Sun identifies the teenager as Juan Daniel Garcia, of El Mirage, Arizona. Garcia reportedly told officer he was there to 'see the singer in person'. However, it was uncertain if Gomez was at home then.
The trespassing incident comes about 18 months after Gomez got a restraining order against a crazy 48-year-old fan, who was stalking her, claiming she was his soul mate.
However, according to E!Online, Gomez was in great spirits at the Beats Music Launch Party At Belasco Theatre Friday, Jan. 24. On Sunday, Gomez seemed to be relaxing at what seemed like a recording studio with a pack of cigarettes. That was pretty 'out-of-character' for the 'Shake it Up' singer as it is known that she doesn't smoke.
All that Bieber-related stress must be getting the best of Gomez. More recently, property headlines were set ablaze with news of Gomez moving into ex Justin Bieber's Calabasas neighborhood.
"Selena is very close to making an offer on a house inside the Calabasas development where Justin lives," an inside source told Life & Style magazine. However, word has it that she was also recently home hunting in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles.
Getting a new house may be a fresh start for Gomez. It is pretty evident that she is stressed and needs a breather from all the drama going on in her life. In December last year, she cancelled the Asian and Australian leg of her international "Stars Dance" tour saying she needed some 'me time'.
"My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them. But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be. To my fans, I sincerely apologize and I hope you guys know how much each and every one of you mean to me," Gomez said in a statement, reports Billboard.com.
