John Mayer, the 'Paper Doll' hitmaker has reportedly sold his bachelor pad in Manhattan, New York City for $3.9 million.
According to the Zillow Blog, Mayer purchased the home for $2.1 million back in 2005. Considering the sale price, the singer has snagged a good profit off the deal.
Listing records of the home state that the residence is a 2060 square feet condo apartment, perched on the twelfth floor of the 16-story, 40-unit apartment building. The home sold Dec.27, 2013. However, before going under escrow, the residence was originally listed for $3.8 million. It was delisted Dec.18 and then sold about $100,000 over the asking price.
Comprising of two bedrooms and two full and one half baths, the residence has paneled hardwood floors, large airy living areas and huge glass windows that offer beautiful views of the city's skyline.
The interiors were done up by fashion mogul Georgio Armani, as Mayer happens to be a big fan of the designer. The home was featured on Elle Décor. Talking about the house for the magazine's feature, Mayer said:
"After I finally figured out how to behave, and how to dress, I wanted to get the next thing-my apartment-right. It's the last piece of the style puzzle."
"If my apartment could make me feel the way I do in Mr. Armani's suits, life would be really wonderful," he quipped about Armani.

Does this sale mean Mayer and crooner girlfriend Katy Perry are moving in together? Sometime back in February 2013 (before the couple broke up and patched up again), rumors had it that the two were home hunting in Los Angeles.
While we aren't sure if the couple will move in or even buy a home together, we definitely know that Mayer can now spend more time in California, where Katy Perry is living. Perry recently sold off the Hollywood Hills residence she never lived in but once shared ownership with ex-husband actor Russell Brand.
Perry also owns two adjoining properties in the Hills, which she purchased for a total of $11.2 million back in 2013.
The couple attended the Grammy after-party together. They looked adorable and very comfortable in each other's company, hi-five-ing over an apparent joke or perhaps congratulating Perry for catching the bouquet after 34 couples said "I Do" during Macklemore, Madonna, Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert's 'Same Love' performance.
She posted a photo on Instagram later, captioning it:
"Congrats to all the #samelove couples tonight. You had me in tears of joy for y'all! Also... Look who caught the bouquet!!! #okuuuurrrr"
