NBA News and Rumors: LeBron James Questioned Kevin Love's Low Offensive Game, 'Egos Need to Be Checked at the Door'

The Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James showed the crowd last Sunday that they are indeed a team to watch out for in the Finals. Aside from great plays and performances, Cavaliers one secret for success is their open communication, inside and outside the court. And such communication was tested when Kevin Love was having trouble with his offense in the first half of their game battling the Indiana Pacers last Sunday.

James, with some of his interviews, stated that Cavaliers would be focusing on Love this season. James and the team would like Love to step up, hoping for Love to regain his All-Star status. Love who is now scoring 16.4 per game, is seen by James as a game changer, a focal point for Cavaliers' offense. That is why when Love was not strong offensively during the first two quarters of last Sunday's game; James talked to him during the half time.

Cavaliers is known for its communication. They really value the importance of constructive criticism. That is why during the half-time LeBron James had a conversation with Kevin Love. According to Love, "LeBron talked to me at halftime, just got me going. That's all it was. I mentioned to him I kind of wanted to free flow and get myself near the basket. That's what I did. Got myself into a good rhythm rebounding the ball. I credit my teammates for that. It started with him and trickled down to everybody else."

Whatever the exact words James used to motivate Love, for sure it was really effective. Right just after the first half, Kevin Love was really fired up, scoring 19 of his 22 points in the second half. Indeed the response of Love after a criticism clearly shows the strong bond of the teammates and the team's positive outlook with criticisms. "I think at the end of the day we're here for one common goal. Egos need to be checked at the door and you've got to be able to handle constructive criticism," said James via Cleveland.
