'Fifty Shades Darker' Spoilers & Cast News: Mrs. Robinson, Leila Williams & Jack Hyde Casting Won't Be Confirmed Until 2016

"Fifty Shades Darker" fans have to wait a little longer before they finally find out who will play the roles of Mrs. Robinson, Leila Williams and Jack Hyde.

According to Design & Trend, news about casting are just some of the most common questions fans have about the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel. However, one fan commented on the site that it's possible that no news will be revealed until early 2016.

"They didn't really announce their filming schedule until right before with 'Fifty Shades and with Darker filming rumored to start in February, it seems early for them to announce anything. And I'm not sure Team50 actually announced it last time. If I recall correctly the supporting cast wasn't announced for Fifty Shades until right before or after the start of filming, so I wouldn't necessarily expect casting announcements just yet," the fan wrote.

Meanwhile, "Fifty Shades" trilogy author E.L. James recently met up with "Fifty Shades Darker" director James Foley, screenwriter Niall Leonard and producers Dana Brunetti and Michael de Luca to discuss the possible direction of the film. James even posted a group photo of the "Fifty Shades Darker" team during their meeting at de Luca's office. However, since then, James hasn't updated her fans on both the casting and the production schedule.

In other news, "Fifty Shades Darker" lead star Dakota Johnson previously revealed that production for the film will begin early next year. However, some fans are doubtful that the schedule is still on track considering the team hasn't tapped a casting director to join their pool.

As of late, the official release date for "Fifty Shades Darker" hasn't been moved to a later date, giving fans hope that they don't have to wait much longer to see Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey for the big screen.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
