This fall, it's one designer taking on another - not in terms of fashion business but in terms of property. Reports reveal that Kimora Lee Simmons, the founder of urban fashion brand 'Baby Phat' is planning to buy Guess Co-founder, Armand Marciano's home in Beverly Crest.
Sources told the Real Estalker that the former model has been planning to buy big in the area and apparently her budget is something around $40 million. Simmons especially has one property in her mind (yeah, you guessed it) and that is Armand Marciano's Beverly Crest home.
The home was first listed in 2011 for $63 million. However, sometime in March 2013 Marciano pricechopped the home by $8.5 million listing it for $54.5 million.
Will Marciano settle for $40 million? While we don't know about that, we definitely know that the house will be every penny worth.
The Mediterranean mansion of the jeans juggernaut is located at 9904 Kip Dr, overlooking the Benedict Canyon. Spread across an area of 30,000 square feet on a 20 acre lot, the home has 10 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms. The residence also has a massive car garage that could easily accommodate 27 cars.
The home also has a modern gym, a gourmet kitchen, a wine cellar, a game room and a screening room and also a library. Outside, the property offers a resort-style mosaic-tiled swimming pool, a lighted tennis court and vast stretches of lush green lawns.

While Simmons is not plotting her real estate deals, she is usually chilling out with family or giving life lessons to aspiring designers. More recently, FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising collaborated with JustFab, the online fashion retailer, to release a 10-video series by Simmons.
