‘Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain’ November Update: PF-Rating New Look, New Grade 8 Weapons and Security Devices, and ‘Anti-Reflex Research’

Konami has released an overview of the November patch for the popular game "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain."

The November update gives the PF Rating screen a new look, making it easier for gamers to understand PF's status. Information on force durability and nuclear weapons owned are also added.

Gamers can now develop Grade 8 equipment and the development process will continue even when the user is away from the PC. Some of the new weapons include a Grade 8 tranquilizer handgun and Grade 8 automatic shotgun. The tranquilizer handgun can be combined with other equipment such as an assault rifle, while the shotgun has an upgraded stopping power and a high-capacity magazine.

The "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" patch also brings new security devices, such as gun cameras, to protect FOBs from invasion. Like the Grade 8 equipment, the new security devices are online development items and MB coins can be used to shorten their development time.

The Medical Team receives a new function called "Anti-Reflex Research." Konami says, "The higher your Medical Team's level gets, the shorter an invader's Reflex Mode time will be." Players can also go unseen by energy searches with the new "Stealth Mode" which can be enabled when infiltrating other FOB. The defenders will be unable to search the player's general location.

Additionally, the player can construct a third FOB, which will result in increase in staff capacity and unit functions improvement. Finally, rookie and beginner functions have been expanded, making it easier to obtain the "Chicken Hat" and "Lil' Chick Hat." "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will also have a "Rookie Assist Function" added to Espionage Ratings.

Meanwhile, fans of this open world action-adventure game "Metal Gear Solid" have seen a glimpse of hope that there might be a continuation of "The Phantom Pain" series following a series of cryptic tweets from Konami. According to Express.co.uk, the tweets are top quotes from the game and fans think it hints that something new is under development.

The tweets read as follows:

"This isn't about the past...We're fighting for the future."

"Memories.....I want to give them to you...."

"I won't scatter your sorrow to the heartless sea. I will always be with you, plant your roots in me. I won't see you end as ashes..."

"You too have known loss, and that loss torments you still. You hope hatred might someday replace the pain, but it never goes away..."
