Josh Duggar Abandoned by Family, Never Checks Him in Reform Facility Even on Visting Days

Josh Duggar, the firstborn of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of "The 19 Kids and Counting," was left by his family in Rockford, Illinois after midnight on August 25 following a one-and-a-half-hour flight to send him to the "Reformers Unanimous" for his reformation.

Photos of Josh were released during that night. Josh is currently in the facility where drug addicts and alcoholics volunteer to enter in order to change their lives. Those who are in the facility will do 40-50 hours of unpaid work in a week which is called the "work therapy program." Aside from that, they are required to join a bible study for 34 hours each week that the facility labels as “addiction recovery program," Mail Online reported.

Josh is enrolled in the "Men’s School of Discipleship" program that runs for a minimum of six months costing $7,500. While in the program, he is not allowed to do phone calls and even visits. But the school allowed Josh to accept visitors from family members on October 9 as well as weekend visits away from the facility on October 24. Yet none of the Duggars came to see Josh. There was no registered flight plan near Illinois for the Duggar's two aircrafts, Inquisitr reported.

With that, reports reveal that the Duggars had abandoned him. Aside from missing visits to Josh, the family also never mentions his name on public.

To recall, Josh claimed to being addicted to pornography and committing adultery when it was revealed that he had two accounts at Ashley Madison, an adultery dating site, Gawker reported. Regarding this, the Duggars released a statement saying that they are "deeply grieved" of what Josh did and that it is a "great insult to the values and faith they hold dear."

The family condemned the actions of Josh especially that they are publicly known for being strict in terms of values because of their faith. The statement also added that "Josh checked himself into a long-term treatment center" so he can work towards "wholeness and recovery." They also said that the family will be offering "love, care, and devoted support to Anna and their grandchildren."

But it appears that only Anna and the kids received the love, care and support because Josh wasn't even visited in the facility even when the family was allowed to.

On September 19, photos of Josh playing softball with a group of men were seen on the Reformers Unanimous Men’s School of Discipleship Facebook page. Apart from this photo, the last picture of Josh that was publicly released was on July 31 when he was still with his wife and four children.

On a service from the facility on October 16, a preacher read out prayer requests from those attending wherein Josh's message was included. It reads: “Josh is praying to keep him and to improve his character and to walk in the spirit.”
