Johnny Depp may buying a Downton Abbey-styled estate in Somerset, England, rumor has it.
The 12-bedroom home located on 850 acres is said to be worth £12-13 million, according to the Daily Mail.
Constructed in 1785, the home has been in the same family ever since - until now, the Western Gazette reports.
The purchase, according to the news outlet, is part of a bigger trend.
"The sale of a Somerset manor house illustrates the rocketing demand for Downton Abbey style estates with storylines to match from overseas buyers," the Gazette wrote.
The idea of owning an English estate may outshine the reality, owner Niall Hobhouse warns. Hobhouse said he was accused of vandalism when, 10 years ago, he bulldozed a 32,00-square-foot garden his mother created in order to make way for a new one.
His mother, Penny Hobhouse, designed English country gardens for a number of celebrities, including Apple founder Steve Jobs.
If Depp is the buyer as rumored, then the purchase comes shortly after the 50-year-old actor announced his engagement to actress and model Amber Heard, 27.
Already the father of two children, Depp is reportedly eager to expand his family.
"Johnny is desperate to become a dad again," sources told Now magazine.
"Amber refuses to have a baby until they're married, which was part of the reason behind the proposal.
'It looks like they might be serious about it."
Looks like those extra bedrooms just might come in handy.
