Kansas City Chiefs QB Alex Smith’s California Mansion Returns for $2.9 Million

Alex Smith, the NFL team Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, re-listed his home in Santa Rosa, California, for $2.9 million, according to multiple reports.

Smith had first listed the residence for $3.25 million in July 2013. However, for some reason the place was de-listed soon. Now the home has come back on the market with a big $300,000 price chopper.

According to the listing records on Realtor.com, the home is a 5,644 square feet single family home sitting on a 0.99 acre lot. The house has four bedrooms, three full and one half bathrooms.

The large home boasts of plush interiors with mixed hardwood, carpeted and tiled flooring, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors. Exclusive living spaces include a family room, a separate dining area, a large living area, a powder room and a recreation room.

Outside, the home has a large swimming pool and ample greens both in the rear and the front. A covered car garage is also available on the property.

Alex Smith made his NFL debut in 2005 playing for the San Francisco 49ers. He got traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013. At the end of the season, Smith was selected to replace Tom Brady in the Pro Bowl, making it the 29-year-old's first Pro Bowl game.

Smith has been in great form. According to ESPN, Clark Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs Chairman recently talked about Smith's presence in the team:

"When we made the trade for him a year ago, that was part of the thinking," Hunt said. "I don't think that thinking has changed. He came in and did a nice job. We're glad to have him as a part of the Kansas City Chiefs and we hope it's longer than a two-year stay," Hunt said.

"Alex is somebody who demonstrated he could play at a pretty high level with the 49ers the last several years," Hunt said. "Certainly, we were hopeful we would see that version of him. One of the things I enjoyed about the season was watching him get better as we went along, which makes sense," he added.

Smith has garnered a lot of fan following as well.

"Chiefs fans have one thing that they should be very happy about -- they know that Alex Smith is their starter in 2014. I'll go one notch further. Alex Smith has the talent to win playoff games -- and a Super Bowl," a fan wrote for SB Nation's Fan Post.
