"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" fans are reportedly torn when it comes to the movie's ending. As of late, it has already been confirmed that Shailene Woodley's character, Tris, will be killed off.
With this, fans can't help but feel bad for the character. Some of them continue to urge the producers and directors to reconsider changing the story's original ending.
Meanwhile, there are also some fans who have accepted the fact that Tris will be killed off. In fact, majority of them believe that Theo James' Four's gesture or scattering Tris' ashes while on a zipline is pretty sweet.
On the film's official spoiler site, fans couldn't help but express their thoughts on the movie's ending.
"I'm so upset is it true that Four has to spread her ashes OMG. Aw but they were supposed to be like true loves. Like couldn't everyone just die and then they'd go to heaven and float there forever and stuff?" one fan wrote.
Another fan wrote, "Yes it's true that one of them dies. Tris indeed does die while trying to stop the memory serum from invading Chicago that would wipe clean the memories of everyone there. She is shot several times by David."
Another fan wrote, "I've read it, and... Tris really dies. What really killed me is when she said, 'Tell him I didn't want to leave him.' And then a few pages later, she gets shot, sees her mom, and dies a heroic death."
Meanwhile, James and Woodley are still being linked to one another. Even though the onscreen couple are in a relationship with their respective partners, some fans believe that they also have feelings for each other. Thousands of "Divergent" fans couldn't also help but notice Woodley and James' chemistry, according to Movie News Guide.
"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Mar. 18, 2016.
