'Hearthstone' Latest Expansion 'The League of Explorers' Comes with New Card Backs

BlizzCon has just concluded with Swedish player Ostkaka being the winner in the "HearthStone" World Championship. Ostkaka was one of the few who brought rogue cards to the game. Same is true with his contender Canadian player Hotform.

But the fun with the online card trading game "HearthStone" from Blizzard doesn't end there as new elements will be added. According to IGN, the next "Hearthstone" adventure, latest expansion "The League of Explorers" is set to arrive and along with it is a new batch of card backs and bug fixes.

According to Battle.Net, the all new adventure will feature an expedition through four exotic wings, with 45 never-before-seen "Hearthstone" cards to collect. As written in the patch notes, there will be two new game boards with a treasure trove of clickables to discover. There will also be a "Discover" keyword, a queue when a player chooses one of three cards to place in hand when a card with the "Discover" keyword on it come out.

As to the new card backs, there will be four. First is the "Explorer's Map" that can be acquired through Ranked Play mode during the month of November. The second card back, "Staff of Origination," can be acquired by beating every wing of The League of Explorers in Heroic mode. Then the special "Blizzard 2015" is awarded to those who attended BlizzCon 2015 or those who have purchased the BlizzCon 2015 Virtual Ticket. Lastly, the "Legacy of the Void" card back can be acquired by buying the Digital Deluxe or Collector's edition of another game from Blizzard, "StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void."

Besides the latest addition, the patch will come with bug fixes and Blizzard claims that issue where various traps could trigger when your board or hand are full will be resolved in this update, along with some audio, graphical, AI behavior, gameplay and UI issues.
