Michael Finley slashes home price for a deal

Michael Finley, a retired NBA player, has drastically reduced the asking price of his half-acre estate in San Antonio to $1.099 million.

In 2011, Finley, who played for the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs, had originally set the price of his property at $1.5 million. Unable to find suitable offers, the former athlete has had to chop the price multiple times, reducing it in February by another $200,000 to bring it to the present listing price of just $1.099 million.

Finley's property is spread over 5,421 square feet and includes luxurious amenities, such as an impressive movie theater, several living rooms, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a game room and a vast kitchen, in addition to a master suite fitted with walk-in closets, says Realtor.com.

The exterior of 40-year-old Finley's home is the face of southern luxury with its tiled roofs and stucco walls. The place boasts an extensive covered patio that offers an excellent view of a spa and pool, as well as a guest casita.

Finley began his playing career at the University of Wisconsin, after which he was drafted by the Phoenix Suns as 21st overall pick in 1995. He played for the Dallas Mavericks between 1996 and 2005 and represented the Western Conference at the 2000 and 2001 All-Star Game.

He moved on to the San Antonio Spurs in 2005 and remained there until 2010, leading his team to an NBC championship in 2007. Prior to his retirement in 2010, he joined the Boston Celtics for a brief period.
