Harry Shum Jr., best known for his role in the popular television drama "Glee," is a happy man these days, having just bought a new home in Los Angles.
Born in Costa Rica, the American actor, dancer and choreographer reportedly paid a whopping $997,000 to ensure that the two-story Hollywood Hills property was not acquired by any other buyer.
An article published in The Real Estalker says the property was first listed in November 2012 for an asking price of $939,000. However, keen to acquire the modest property, the 31-year-old actor ended up shelling out much more.
According to Realty.com, the house is situated north of Lake Hollywood and is spread over 1,821 square feet. It is a well-maintained property that comprises three bedrooms on the second floor, in addition to 2.5 bathrooms. Besides milk-chocolate hued hardwood flooring, the house also includes a kitchen, dining room and living room with a fireplace.
The property has two street-facing guest bedrooms with a hall bathroom with white tile floors, a detached shower and tub set up. On the exterior, there is an elevated terrace that provides a broad view of the garden and the playing area.
Los Angles property records show the house was constructed in 1937 and previously owned by Michael Alaimo, a Hollywood writer/producer famous for movies like "Major Crimes" and "The Closer."
