"Dark Souls III" Release Date Leaked By a Large Video Game Retailer in UAE

The fans of "Dark Souls" have been waiting for the official release date of its sequel "Dark Souls III" to be announced by developer FromSoftware.

It looks like fans don't have to wait any longer as the release date is said to have been leaked by one of the game's online retailer. According to Gamespot, one of the largest retailer of video games based in UAE, Geekay Games, may have accidentally revealed the release date of "Dark Souls III" in its listings previously. The said listings no longer exist but luckily a Twitter user by the handle @Wario64 still has a couple of screenshots that say the game might be released on April 12.

This however should be treated with a grain of salt because if you head over to the preorder link and then click on each retailer name, you will see that each retailer has placed a released date that is different from the other. For example, Amazon.com says, "This item will be released on April 30, 2016." And while Target says release date is March 31, GameStop says, "This item will be available to download on 12/31/2016"

According to Gamespot, along with the leaked release date from Geekay Games, the Two Collector's Editions have also been revealed. The first collector's edition was said to include a 25-cm red knight figurine, hardcover art book, cloth map, soundtrack, iron-on patches, metal case, and collector's box along with the game itself. The Collector's Editions might be sold for about $136 converted from the announced 499 AED.

The Prestige edition, has the same items except for the red knight figurine. Instead of the red knight figurine, it comes with a 40-cm Lord of Cinder figurine and a different collector's box. The Prestige edition is said to be priced at around $490.

Other sources say that the "Dark Souls 3" may be released Mar 24, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
