"New Girl" Season 5 will have some changes in terms of casts as two old characters will be out while two new ones will join the show.
Zoey Deschanel will not be seen immediately since she is still in maternity leave after she gave birth to her daughter in July. Aside from that, she was also busy being part of the production of feature films "Rock the Kasbah" and "The Driftless Area."
Megan Fox will take her place as Reagen who is defined as a "straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep." But fans are not happy about the replacement especially that they got used of seeing Deschanel in the show for four seasons.
Fox will enter the show as someone who will rent Jessica's room temporarily since Jessica goes away for jury dury, Deadline reported. She will join Schmidt (Max Greenfield), Nick (Jake Johnston), and Winston (Lamorne Morris).
Meanwhile, Damon Wayans Jr. who play as Coach will no longer return to the show since he didn't renew his contract.
"We love Damon and are so lucky to have had him return for the past season-and-a-half. We are working on crafting an exit for him that will leave the door open for many returns, especially since Coach is our resolution to the upcoming 'Who's Jess' Baby Daddy?' storyline," executive producer Liz Meriweather said, according to Movie Pilot.
Although Wayan was part of the original pilot episode, he needed to drop out of Season 1 because of his commitments with "Happy Endings" which ended in 2013. With that, he returned to "New Girl" Season 3 and was a regular cast in Season 4. Unfortunately, fan favorite Coach will no longer be seen in Season 5. Fans are sad about the news but are also looking forward on how Coach will leave the show.
One guest character to enter the show is Peter Gallagher who will be playing as Schmidt's father. Gallagher's entry to "New Girl" Season 5 will seem to be a reunion with Max Greenfield who plays Schimdt, who played as a younger Sandy Cohen in the TV show "The O.C." which is Peter Gallagher's character.
"New Girl" Season 5 will be released sometime in 2016.
