The first trailer for the Season 2 of the "Breaking Bad" spinoff series, "Better Call Saul," has been released, and fans got a glimpse of what to expect in the new season of the show.
According to Christian Post, the new trailer gave fans a sneak peek of what Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) will be like in Season 2. In the first season, Jimmy has done everything to survive and be successful despite being caught between his morality and conscience. In the Season 1 finale, the lawyer was seen making a comeback to Chicago, so it would be interesting to see how the events of Jimmy turning into Saul Goodman would uncover.
Aside from that, Jimmy also went down memory lane when he went to look for Marco (Mel Rodriguez), who was his long-lost friend. He made a shocking discovery that the man he considered his friend is now a different person. It was speculated that with the revelations of his painful past and the betrayal of the people close to him, fans will slowly see Jimmy transform into Saul Goodman.
In an interview with Digital Trends, Odenkirk revealed that "Better Call Saul" will also go on a deep exploration of Jimmy's character and his persona as Saul Goodman, just like what the writers have done in "Breaking Bad" with Walter White. Odenkirk did not reveal which "Breaking Bad" characters will be in Season 2, but he hinted that things are going to heat up in the new season.
The trailer only showed some of the scenes from Season 1 which could mean that those events are the reason why Jimmy will decide to become Saul Goodman. Odenkirk suggested that this could mean that Jimmy, who is the lover of what is good and right, will now change in Season 2.
As of writing, there is still no official release date for "Better Call Saul" Season 2, but it is expected to come out in early 2016.
