Inquisitr shares that based on the people working for ABC Soaps, the show will recast Dr Patrick Drake's role after Jason Thompson's departure. Thompson has been playing the role for "General Hospital" for years now, however he has explained that he is now feeling the need to move on and try new possibilities.
Fans could see the show going either way with Dr. Drake, as he has been the focus of "General Hospital" for ten years now. On the other hand, with this significant revelation the real identity of Jake Doe is Jake Morgan, some could view where it would be Drake is fading away.
Although, there are no official announcement yet, if the series will have someone to replace the role of Drake, or if they will let the character be in hiatus a bit, it may easier to recast the role. On the other hand, it will definitely be good news that Dr. Drake will pursue to be a character in Port Charles, Soap Shows reported.
"General Hospital" spoilers state that there are some well-known soap actors speculated to replace Thompson.
