Ever wanted to call Apple CEO Tim Cook your neighbor? Well here's your chance: Google Ventures managing partner and venture capitalist Bill Maris has listed his Palo Alto, Calif. condo located next door to the place Cook has called home since 2010.
Listed for $2,849,000, the 2,065-square-foot property features four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
According to Truliablog.com, the two-story property includes a master room, designed for living as well as entertaining, and a bedroom on the first floor that can double as an exercise room or a den. An elegant master bedroom suite upstairs boasts large closets and a designer bath.
Built in 2010, the property is open and airy, and features a gourmet kitchen that leads through a dining area to a living room furnished with a fireplace. In addition to the master bedroom suite, there are two guest bedrooms - one converted into an office, upstairs.
Situated in the last part of a private driveway, the property is extremely private. Nevertheless, it is only a few steps away from shops and restaurants in the busy Palo Alto downtown.
Citing the local property records, Realtor.com says that Maris, the major business competitor of Apple, acquired the home for $1.98 million during 2010 - the same time when Tim Cook also purchased a modest 2,095-square-foot condominium, which he bought for just $1.9 million.
The two business rivals lived in harmony together for two years, but Maris gave the property up for rent in 2012 and shifted to another house in the nearby Mountain View campus of Google. Besides founding Google Ventures in 2009, Maris has made booming investments in top tech firms like Uber, Nest and 23andMe.
