Remember the saying, "Easier said than done." It applies to smartphones too as recently iFixit has featured a set of step-by-step photos of disassembling the Sony Xperia Z5, making the teardown look as easy as pie.
The step-by-step guide was comprehensive. It begins with a picture that shows how to remove the SIM card from the SIM tray and perhaps that is the easiest part. The following pictures show steps that are better left to the pros such as heating the back to loosen the adhesive and so on. But according to Android Headlines, judging by the guide the Xperia Z5 wasn't that difficult to open, although that doesn't mean was easy. Moreover it was noted that although the steps were published on iFixit, the procedure was performed by a third party. Nevertheless in general, Android Headlines finds the Sony Xperia Z5 slightly more challenging to take apart than most devices.
The good thing that was discovered out of such demonstration is that the Sony Xperia Z5 was made with a genius design and great durability. According to Design and Trend, the interior components that are neatly arranged inside device are fastened securely by standard screws and adhesives that require skills to remove. But best of all, with the pictures shown in iFixit, it was found out that the Sony Xperia Z5 could easily be repaired because of its modular parts.
According to Phone Arena, the Sony Xperia Z5 boasts of its a 5.2-inch, 1080p resolution screen and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC with 3GB of RAM. There's a stunning 23 MP camera on the smartphone's back, while the front has a 5MP camera. A 2900mAh battery powers the Sony Xperia Z5 functions and its Android 5.1 operating system. The Sony Xperia Z5 measures 146 x 72 x 7.3mm, while it weighs 154 grams.
iFixit has shown how practically doable it is to tear down the Sony Xperia Z5, but if you don't want to risk wrecking the $670 phone then don't even bother opening it.
