Ivana Trump lists her Palm Beach palatial estate for $18.9 million

Ivana Trump, the former wife of business tycoon Donald Trump, has put her palatial Palm Beach, Fla., estate up for sale for $18.9 million, Realtor.com reports.

Following her divorce from Donald Trump in 1992, the former athlete and model acquired the oceanfront property for $4.4 million. Trump is now looking for a return on her investment in the property located just four blocks from the former Trump family home known as Mar-a-Lago, which sold for $100 million in 2008.

Built in 1926, the landmark estate is located along Jungle Road and covers more than 14,400 square feet of living area. The house features nine bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. The mansion has a Moroccan ambiance and its interiors are marked by wood and tile flooring, stenciled beam ceilings, meticulously-done fireplaces and a general jewel shade color scheme to match the tropic surroundings of the house, according to Realty.com.

A tiled center island adorns the chef's kitchen, which is equipped with sophisticated equipment and appliances seen in any top-notch restaurant. The master suite, meanwhile, "appears as distinctive as any suite in a Trump Tower penthouse," the site said.

On the outside, a covered portico bridges an extended dining room space that oversees a plunge pool and patio. In addition, the property boasts of an underground tunnel that connects the mansion to a private beach.

The property is listed with broker Lawrence Moens of Lawrence A. Moens Associates.

Ivana Trump played a prominent role in the Trump Organization, owned by Donald Trump. She not only became the vice president of the company's interior decoration, but also headed the Trump Castle Hotel and Casino as its president. In 1990, she was named "Hotelier of the Year."

After her divorce from Donald, 64-year-old Ivana Trump became a self-help author and fashion model. Recently, she has appeared in the popular England television reality show "Celebrity Big Brother."
