Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have long been the subject of divorce rumors, and now OK! Magazine says the 30-year-old country singer has given her husband two choices: her or the booze.
According to the tabloid, Lambert gave up drinking as part of a weight loss regimen - a decision that allegedly "sparked some furious fights" with Shelton, 37.
"Miranda told Blake that he's almost 40 years old and needs to stop with his all-night frat-boy lifestyle," a supposed source told the outlet. "Miranda finally declared that he needs to either grow and mature with her, or she's leaving him behind."
The alleged friend then added: "She seriously wants them to lead a sober life now because it's working so well with her."
A rep for Shelton has denied the claims.
"The story is false...again," the rep told Gossip Cop.
The couple, married in 2011, put down rumors last year that their marriage was on the rocks.
"I just read back to back NEW stories that @mirandalambert and I are having a baby, divorcing, cheating and feuding with @cher. Must be true!" Shelton tweeted back in October.
Shelton was previously married to Kaynette Williams, an elementary school teacher, in 2003. In 2005, he met Lambert; Shelton and Williams divorced roughly six months after.
Of meeting Lambert, Shelton told The Associated Press back in 2007: "She's one of those few people you meet and have a connection with and you don't really fully understand it, but you know it's a pretty big deal."
Shelton says his divorce from Williams was a difficult one, and had a deep impact on his music.
"I know what I'm singing about now when I sing about breaking up, and about the pain that comes with a relationship like that. For once I don't feel like I'm just a guy singing these songs," Shelton told the AP, explaining that he's now "a guy who's lived these songs."
When asked then if he was dating Lambert, the singer said: "It depends on what day you ask. Miranda and I have a very interesting relationship. She can get so mad at me that she just wants to punch me in the face, and we'll say that's it. Then, 30 minutes later we're calling each other and acting like it never happened. I think it's that we're both artists, and if I want to see her or she wants to see me, sometimes it just doesn't work out and it's frustrating."
