Commander Shepard Has Signed Off from the 'Mass Effect' Presence and Will Not Be Seen in 'Andromeda'

Developers at Bioware have told the "Mass Effect Andromeda" fans that they won't be seeing Commander Shepard after a clip that was recently released ironically suggests the human protagonist's existence.

To galvanize such announcement, Yanick Roy of BioWare has taken to Twitter to remind everybody that Developers at Bioware are adamant on the plan to not include the famous human protagonist of "Mass Effect 2" in the upcoming "Mass Effect Andromeda." The post from the BioWare's studio director read, "@tomphillipsEG Plans haven't changed: this is Shepard signing off, wishing you/us godspeed on a new adventure."

Fans have become hopeful of Commander Shepard's return to the "Mass Effect" after the new Andromeda trailer was released for N7 holiday on Nov. 7. According to Design and Trend, the teaser features the female Shep version detailing a new adventure. Then the camera pans to show the Milky Way and a ship enroute to Andromeda. And the clip end's with the voice saying, "this is Commander Shepard signing off."

Furthermore, what is also ironic is that the this upcoming "Mass Effect Andromeda" is said to have veered from the ideas of the original trilogy the game is rumored to be centered around the crew sent off by Commander Shepard to Andromeda to find settlement. So its quizzical for a game to be haunted by the presence of a protagonists how had just been "signed off."

The trailer has also suggested the coming of a new Lead although no other details have been shared yet regarding that. Now many fans are speculating that the song "Ghost Riders in the Sky" played throughout the "Mass Effect Andromeda" E3 announce trailer was dropping a hint. Could it be hinting at a lead named "Ryder" or could it be referring to the ghost of Commander Shepard?

"Mass Effect Andromeda" will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows in December 2016
