Divorce rumors flooded the headlines as it was reported that "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are having a rocky relationship. It was also then reported that the couple launched an animal rights campaign to cover the emerging allegations they they're going through divorce. These allegations may have made the headlines but it seems that the couple is doing their best to keep their relationship in shape.
As per Celeb Dirty Laundry, the couple recently made a new animal rights campaign which was promoted by The Humane Society of United States. Though this may sound like Somerhalder and Reed are working on their relationship, the website reported that Reed is in a similar position as Nina Dobrev. It a known face that Dobrev and Somerhalder had a steamy relationship but eventually ended after Ian Somerhalder pressured her to settle and have kids.
As per the website, Somerhalder still wants kids, but with Reed's new role for "Sleepy Hollow", Somerhalder's desire to have kids was pushed off. The website then added that it's a constant source of tension which caused them to fight.

As per the website, the webloid does not have accurate sources unto where the issue came from. Their campaign was simply to take a stand in dog fighting as Reed have always been passionate when it comes to animal rights.
