Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon pull Bel-Air home off the market

Mariah Carey, the 43-year-old singer, songwriter and actress, and her husband Nick Cannon have removed their Bel-Air home from the market barely four days after putting it up for sale for $12,995,000.

A report in the Los Angeles Times says the celebrity couple listed the three-acre property on Multiple Listing Service (MLS) for potential buyers as well as their agents to consider the offer. However, they pulled the property, which offers excellent views of the city, canyon and reservoir, off possibly owing to the excessive media attention generated by the offer.

The Hamptons-inspired mansion has an interior space of 11,750 square feet and includes seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The house features wooden floors, high ceilings and French doors. The interior also includes a gym, a basketball court, a home theatre and six fireplaces.

The house contains a spacious hall ideal for entertaining hundreds of guests. This room features vaulted beam windows, a massive stone fireplace and walls of windows. In addition, the couple has added a music studio to their home, which they purchased for $6,975,000 about five years back.

On the outside, the property has a large swimming pool and a parking space that can accommodate more than 20 vehicles.

Carey is a prolific singer reputed for her versatile voice. She has won as many as five Grammy Awards, including one for the famous song "We Belong Together." In 1990, Carey won a Grammy Award for "Best New Artist."

Thirty-three-year-old Cannon is a multi-talented actor and singer, who has written many television shows. In addition, he has also hosted "America's Got Talent" from 2009 to 2013.
