Ed Sheeran made the headlines last month after hitting an enormous Spotify milestone. As per Realty Today, Spotify, which is one of the largest music steaming app announced that d Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" made a remarkable record.

As per The Celebrity Net Worth, "Thinking Out Loud" reached half a billion plays in the first week of October, 2015. It then reach the billion mark the following Monday.

With his success, the "Photograph" singer never failed to thank the people that made him this bug. During one of his press release, he stated:

"Being the first artist to hit that milestone is amazing. Thanks to all the people who use this as a wedding song, soundtrack to a date, and as a way to woo someone into a Netflix-and-chill situation."

The Spotify success is only part of his progress since last year. The 24-year-old is now part of the biggest names in the music industry. His "X" [multiply] album was released just last year and it hit massive success.

On top of his album hitting the shelves, his world tour "X" has been selling out numerous shows. The "X" Tour first started on August 6, 2014 in which he first launched the world tour in Osaka, Japan. The tour consists of 179 shows which includes America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. It would end December 12 of this year in Auckland, New Zealand. The tour has reached its massive success as it graced the music scene by having tickets sold out. Sheerna makes more or less $95,000 for each show. This amount however only covers the months from Mach 2014 to March of this year, which is about 99 out of the 179 shows.

He may have earned a huge amount, but he has to pay around $6.6 million in fees throughout the show, which only gives him $33,000 per show, which is actually a low figure for musicians on tour. As of today, Sheeran now has a net worth of $3 million which continually increase. He may have a lot of cash rolling in but he keeps his finances secure by spending only $1500 for his allowance.
