'Orange Is the New Black' Star Ruby Rose is Australia's Darling Once Again; Will Join Keanu Reeves in 'John Wick 2'

Ruby Rose thought she has had it in Australia until "Orange Is The New Black," that is. The Oz born actress was a DJ in Down Under and have her own clothing line so she thought there was nothing else she could do at home.

Everything changed when she became part of "Orange Is The New Black" cast and that's when Australia embraced her again. In an interview with News.com.au during the recent GQ Men of The Year Awards, she said, "I think people were sick of me and I think that I had done everything in Australia that I could do. I was born here and this is where my heart is and I felt like I have to leave, I had to leave. I wanted to try and make it somewhere else and do something different."

It's like when Rose (Stella) joined the show; it skyrocketed to a whole new dimension. Her chaotic relationship with Piper keeps the fans at the edge of their seats, anticipating what is going to happen next.

"As soon as I got Orange (Is The New Black), and as soon as America kind of embraced me, I've had this huge resurgence in Australia and I love that and I love people loving me here again, because it's been a tumultuous ride," she added.

Perhaps her Aussie fans are thanking the starts for America for taking their very own as part of the show. Come 2016, Netflix will be airing the show again, something Rose's fans are looking forward to, be in America or Australia and even other parts of the world.

In related news, Ruby Rose will also star alongside Keanu Reeves in "John Wick 2." She confirmed it herself, via her Instagram account. According to Mail Online, filming has already commenced in New York and the team will transfer to Rome come New Year. The movie is set to be released 2016.
