Anne Hathaway to present Oscar with Jennifer Lawrence, Daniel Day-Lewis

Anne Hathaway will present an Academy Award this year on March 2. In 2011, the stylish actor had co-hosted the Academy awards with James Franco for the first time.

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Tuesday that the actor will join Jennifer Lawrence and Daniel Day-Lewis in presenting the 86th annual Oscars at the Hollywood & Highland Center's Dolby Theater.

The news follows the trend in which the winners of the previous year return to the Oscars as presenters. Hathaway, who won the Oscar statuette for the Best Supporting Actor in 2012 for her portrayal of the character "Fantine" in the British romantic musical historical drama "Les Miserables," will present the award to the winner of the Best Supporting Actor.

In 2009, Hathaway was first nominated for an Oscar for her lead female role in "Rachel Getting Married," but lost to Kate Winslet, who won the coveted award for her performance in "The Reader."

Hathaway's 2011 Oscar experience with Franco was met with a mixed reaction, with critics calling the pair's performance "clumsy" and "painful."

The 31-year-old actor began her career in theater and appeared in several stage shows before moving to the big screen in 2001 with Walt Disney's drama "The Other Side of Heaven." Soon, Hathaway hogged the limelight with her portrayal of "Mia Thermopolis" in yet another Disney film "The Princess Diaries" and its sequel. Since then, she has appeared in a wide range of movies, including "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Becoming Jane."

While Neil Meron and Craig Zadan will produce the Oscars this year, the ceremony will be telecast live by ABC Television Network in 225 countries across the globe.
