"The Big Bang Theory" indicates that Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) will go out together for a trip to the aquarium as a way to celebrate Thanksgiving on episode 9 entitled, "The Platonic Permutation."
To recall, Sheldon and Amy had tried dating other people to show that they have moved on from each other. On Episode 8, Sheldon couldn't get out of his way as it took Vanessa (guest star Analeigh Tipton) a whole 30 seconds to solve his Craigslist challenge to keep him from dating her. On the other hand, Amy's supposed date Dave (guest star Stephen Merchant) looks more interested on Sheldon than on Amy, International Business Times reported.
Since their attempt to date had been failed after many tries, the two decided to go out together for the Thanksgiving episode of Season 9 which could be the beginning of their road to get back as a couple, Carter Matt noted.
Synopsis of episode 9 from TV Listings reads, "Now just friends, Sheldon and Amy spend Thanksgiving at the aquarium; a reluctant Wolowitz volunteers at a soup kitchen with Bernadette, Raj and Emily; and Penny realizes that Leonard knows a bit more about her than he's let on."
When the two decided to go to the aquarium as friends, there would be some romantic tension that will happen during their trip. Although Sheldon claimed that he was ready to move on in episode 7 when he said, "I think of my time with Amy as a stick of Fruit Stripe gum, sweet and enjoyable at first, but ultimately a flavorless lump of sadness," viewers know the real score.
Meanwhile, Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Emily (Laura Spencer) will ask Howard (Simon Helberg) to volunteer at a soup kitchen with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk who will guest star in the show as himself.
On the other hand, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) will realize that her husband Leonard (Johnny Galecki) knows more about her when they celebrate Thanksgiving as a married couple.
"The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 episode 9 will air on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
