Kate Gosselin and her eight kids are heading back to television this December with the upcoming season 4 of their hit reality show, "Kate Plus 8." Based on the pilot episode's sneak peek, this season will focus on Gosselin as she gets back to the dating scene once again and try to find romance in the midst of her chaotic family life.
"Since being divorced I can't even say I'm in the world of dating because I don't get it," Gosselin says in the clip.
The trailer, released by TLC, shows the 40-year-old single mom hesitantly, but bravely, go on a blind date after meeting a guy who "piqued" her interest. Her first blind date includes a romantic dinner date, a limousine drive and a scenic helicopter tour.
According to the Daily Mail, Gosselin divorced from her ex-husband Jon in 2009, which prompted the cancellation of their reality series "Jon & Kate Plus 8." Since then, she appeared on several television shows such as "Dancing With the Stars" and "The View." She was reported to dating a millionaire this year but broke up last September.
Besides dating, the show will also continue to follow Gosselin and her large brood while they deal with day-to-day family affairs. Now with teenagers, the family is busier than ever, and the single mom will have to deal with suitors and teenage rants.
In one episode, the family is seen setting up a view deck, with Kate giving instructions to everyone.
"This show should be called 'Kate Plus Kate' because mommy does everything," one of her daughters says.
The family also goes on exciting adventures, including a game night out and a back-to-school shopping spree.
Another highlight of the season is the family's summer trip to Florida, where Gosselin is seen wearing a purple two-piece bathing suit, looking toned and tanned.
"Kate Plus 8" season 4 premieres on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 9 p.m. on TLC.
