Former LA Lakers Lamar Odom apparently has no idea what caused his brain injury and why he is in recovery in a hospital, says his estranged wife and reality star Khloe Kardashian.
Khloe has been with Odom since he was brought to the hospital in October after he was found unconscious in a brothel called Love Ranch South. According to US Magazine, the "Khloe and Lamar" star's care for the beleaguered NBA star has been made media fodder and she admits that her willingness to help her estranged husband in his recovery is making life difficult for her. She said, "I'm there helping him and I love him and I've always loved him. And that will never change. And I just feel like it's a really insensitive thing to fast-forward a divorce."
It was disclosed a few days after Odom's hospitalization that their divorce, which was filed in December 2013 has not yet been finalized and the two are still, by law, married. Khloe has stayed with Odom from Nevada until he was transferred to Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai Hospital where he is recovering.
Khloe shared an update on Odom's recovery and said that he is learning how to walk and eat on his own. "We tell him that he had a brain injury, but we can't tell him how that brain injury was caused, because that will set him back. He never asks why he's here. He doesn't ask," Kardashian shared. "He's really confused a lot - sometimes he knows who the president is and his birthday, and sometimes he thinks he's 26, and I say I bet you wish you were 26, so do I!"
In a report by Los Angeles Times, Khloe is not kidding herself about her situation in regards to helping estranged husband Odom and keeping current boyfriend NBA star James Harden happy. She said, "I'm just going to say I'm, like, part of polygamy now. I have a husband, I have a boyfriend. ... That's a way easier thing to say."
