Jaimie Alexander, the lead female star of the break-out hit series "Blindspot," is being tagged as a "diva" on the set and is reportedly difficult to work with. According to New York Post's Page Six, Alexander is "a nightmare who gets people fired."
"She's a perfectionist who complains constantly, and is such a nightmare that the producers will do almost anything to stop the torture," an insider told the celebrity news site.
In the series, Alexander plays a character called "Jane Doe," a woman who wakes up in the middle of New York Times Square, covered in tattoos from neck down. The actress previously admitted that preparation fo her role is indeed tough. Getting into her tattoo-covered character requires sitting in the makeup chair for more than seven hours.
Another source of Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported that the 31-year-old actress constantly complains about the whole process during filming. According to rumors, Alexander's difficult attitude has made shooting so unbearable that several staff have gotten fired.
However, a spokesperson from Warner Bros. Studios has denied the allegations, saying, "Three people were let go from the production recently. This has nothing to do with any show talent and is a production/studio decision."
Likewise, Alexander's rep insisted that the actress had nothing to do with the resignation of the show's staff. "I've never heard of a cast member being able to decide who is on the set. She's not even first on the call list," the rep told Page Six.
"Blindspot" is a surprising hit among viewers, ranking number one among the fall season's lineup. It has recently been picked up for another season. Alexander showed no signs of her diva-like attitude when she promoted the show's second season on her Instagram account just recently.
"Huge thanks to everyone out there for making this possible," she wrote on the caption, adding a hashtag "thankful" at the end.
In a recent interview with Zap2It, Alexander said that she is enjoying her role despite the challenging nature of the show.
"I definitely realized it was going to be quite the task. But I think if you come from a place of acceptance, you just go with the flow," she said. "We have a great time. We have a great crew that helps supply these tattoos, and we listen to Beatles on Pandora. We have good coffee and good conversation, and the hours fly by."
"Blindspot" also stars actor Sullivan Stapleton as an FBI agent who teams up with Alexander's character. It airs Mondays, 10 p.m. on NBC.
