"Dancing With The Stars" is involved in a homophobic scandal after the show's producers did not allow a guy to guy performance.
TMZ reported that the issue started when an openly gay artist who is called "Who Is Fancy" is set to perform his debut song entitled "Boys Like You" featuring Ariana Grande and Meghan Trainor, who will both appear on show.
It has been reported that the song is all about a man falling in love with another man. TMZ then found out that "Who Is Fancy's" choreographer sent an email to the producers of "Dancing With The Stars" stating that it will "look awesome to have 2 males dancing with each other."
The source of TMZ shared that "DWTS" team and producers discussed about it and then replied an email saying "Apologies all but this is a definitive no from the network."
The show's producers were quick to dismiss the idea of having two guy perform a romantic dance however, they told the choreographer that they will only allow two men "near dancing" performance.
So what does "near dancing" mean? Based on Alek and Carlos' latest performance on "DWTS," it looks like more of a "Cirque" performance rather than a romantic kind of ballroom.
ABC network rep said that they will not comment about the issue but a highly credible source said that "Creative conversations are ongoing about the dance number."
Meanwhile, Celebrity Dirty Laundry dishes out that ever since "Dancing With The Stars" started, it never had a "same sex" couple as part of the competition. This issue has been brought up already a couple of times and with this incident, it is now being discussed again. A lot of "DWTS" gay fans are reportedly disappointed because of the issue
According to Cosmopolitan, this man to man dancing was already brought up back in 2011 and even dancing pro Mark Ballas said that he is "totally cool" to be with a male partner.
