“Outlander” Season 2 Spoilers continue to surface online, but this time, it has been shot down by a famous teen TV actress.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sophie Turner personally shot down the said rumors. She said that she will remain “loyal” to her “one true love,” pertaining to the HBO series. She is currently portraying the role of Sansa Stark in "Game of Thrones."
“Somebody mentioned [the role] to me when I was on a red carpet somewhere, that I’d make a great Brianna, and I think the guy Sam retweeted it or something,” Turner told EW. “So people started talking like I was in it. I’ve never seen the show. I’m sure it’s great, but I’m loyal to my one true love!”
The 19-year-old actress was rumored to play the role of Brianna. The said character is the daughter of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe). The "Outlander" series, which airs on Starz, is the TV adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's time-travelling fantasy book series of the same name.
Back in September, Daily Record reported that the casting rumor began after “Outlander” actor Sam Heughan retweeted a fan’s suggestion.

Turner’s recent movie credits are “Barely Lethal” and “Alone.” Moreover, she will also be seen in various box-office films next year including as Jean Grey in “X-Men: Apocalypse” and Mary Shelley in “Mary Shelley’s Monster.” This only makes the “Outlander” casting rumor more plausible as the actress has a busy schedule ahead of her.
"Outlander" Season 1 ended in May 2015 and "Game of Thrones" Season 5 followed soon after a month. Both series are currently in the middle of film production.
