Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are known for their unconventional ways, but a new report claims that the couple are taking unconventional to the extreme. In Star Magazine's latest issue, Pitt and Jolie's former nannies have revealed shocking details on how "bizarrely" they are raising their children behind closed doors.
The headline reads, "Inside Their Bizarre World: All 6 Kids in Therapy, No School, No Rules, No Bedtime, Secret Trips to Church, and $2 Million Vacations."
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, one of the former family nannies said that between Pitt and Jolie, it is the latter who strongly pushes the family into radical, unconventional ways.
"Brad and Angelina are very unconventional parents, to say the least. It is like they are living in a hippy commune most of the time because Angie doesn't believe in rules. She thinks that it is important for children to have freedom of expression - but that doesn't always work out well," the nanny revealed.
Jolie and Pitt, dubbed as "Brangelina" in Hollywood, are considered as one of the biggest power couples in the entertainment industry. Together, they have six children, three of which are adopted: Maddox, 14, Paz, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 7.
According to the article, all the Jolie-Pitt children do not attend regular school and are home-schooled instead. However, Jolie is reportedly against sticking to home-schooling guidelines and lets the kids choose what subjects to study.
BabyCenter has more excerpts. According to another source, "She lets the kids learn what they want and ignore the stuff that doesn't interest them. And they don't take tests or do homework."
Interestingly, Jolie is said to put priority on therapy over education, as she makes her children go to therapy sessions.
Furthermore, the mother of six believes that it is imperative for her children to be able to choose their own religion as early as now. One nanny reported that Jolie and Pitt have taken their kids to various churches with different faith systems.
The children are also reportedly exposed to social media without limitations. "The kids are allowed to browse the Net as much as they like, and the older ones use social media," the insider revealed. "They've even seen some of their parents' R-rated movies, like 'Fight Club' and 'Inglourious Basterds' and 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith!' It was weird for them to see their parents acting sexy onscreen in that, but they loved it."
Rumors of separation are also hounding Jolie and Pitt, but they have recently denied the allegations. They are currently starring in "By the Sea," written and directed by Jolie herself. This is their second movie together.
