‘The Flash Season 2’ Updates and Spoilers: Is There a Possibility of a Musical Episode?

Without a doubt, the cast of 'The Flash' is not just about action, most of them have singing talents and strong musical background.

In fact, the star of the show, Grant Gustin (Barry) appeared on musical series, 'Glee', and was a part of the revival tour of the Broadway classic, West Side Story. Jesse L. Martin (Joe) also played Tom Collins in the Broadway musical, 'Rent'. And if you haven't known, Carlos Valdes (Cisco) also debuted in musical productions such as 'The Wedding Singer,' 'Jersey Boys' and 'Once.'

Due to these facts, fans are asking if there is a possibility of a musical episode in the action series.
Although the production behind 'The Flash' are silent about this, it seems that there may be a possibility of the said episode.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Martin -- who has yet to play his doppelganger -- said that he has heard good things about what Earth-Two Joe is like. And one of these good things is he might have a little 'musical element' in him.

It can be recalled in the New York Comic Con last year, Martin also told ComicBook.com that the musical episode on the series makes him excited.

"I'd have a blast with it. We joked about it for a long time. We'd make up jokes on set about what it could possibly be if 'The Flash' did a musical episode and we all just thought it was funny and a lark. But the more it gets talked about, I think the more seriously [series executive producers] Greg [Berlanti] and Andrew [Kreisberg] take it. And they've been prodded in many ways by many different people: Why don't you guys do something? You've got all these actors who can do it so you guys should probably think about doing it. So -- you never know, it might happen," he said.

"I don't know how they'd do it, but they certainly have the resources if they want to do it. I mean, you've got all of these super-talented people on the set. So if they wanted to do it, we could really knock out a great musical episode," he added.

Gustin told EW that the characters might be making an Earth-Two trip at some point in the series. Although, he said that he had no idea which characters are going, but Barry will surely be one of them. And he also pointed out that he doesn't have any idea if he will see his doppelganger there. But he imagines, he most probably would.

In the coming episode of The Flash, the promo video teases, "Grodd returns to Central City and kidnaps Caitlin [Danielle Panabaker], and Barry races to find her before it's too late. Meanwhile, Cisco plans his first date with the new barista at Jitters; and Patty [Shantel VanSanten] begins to suspect Barry is hiding something from her."

"The Flash" season 2, episode 7, entitled "Gorilla Warfare," airs on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m. on The CW.

Do you think the musical episode would be awesome?
