'The Young And The Restless' Cast Interview: Christian LeBlanc Talks About His Y&R Debut 20 Years Ago

"The Young and The Restless" star, Christian LeBlanc who is known for his character as Michael Baldwin has been on the show for more than 20 years. Christian joined the show in 1991 to 1993. He then resumed his role in 1997.

According to Soap Opera Spy, in 1993 Michael got convicted for sexually assaulting Christine Blair. Michael shared that at the time he was shooting the scenes with Christine, what is in his mind was the greatest villain, Hannibal Lector.

Christian said that the "Silence of the Lamb" was coming out about the same time of his major debut in the show. He explained that he "tweaked it a little to fit the storyline. Michael was super-intelligent. When he was in jail, the writers had me sniff Christine's perfume coming down the halls, and feed the rats to the guards. Michael would write in his notebooks [journals] the craziest stuff. It was always a huge question mark, was he really crazy or just faking it? I had a ball channeling the legend- Hannibal Lector."

But then, he also shared that Michael already came a long way after everything that happened and he is in a much saner state of mind.

Michael was able to change his life in prison and then came back as one of the most respectable lawyers in Genoa City. Aside from that, there was also a change of heart when Christine forgave him for assaulting her and eventually fell in love with him.

LeBlanc was able to transform his role in Genoa City as one of the most iconic star.

Back in April, Soap Opera Digest shared that there were rumors that Christian will soon leave "The Young and The Restless" and that his character as Michael will be killed off. It has been said that Christian will leave because he will take over the role of Kevin in "General Hospital."

A spokeperson from the "Y&R" denied the rumors.
