New York City Pet Hotels: D Pet Hotel Offers Dog Suites Bigger than Manhattan Apartments

Looking for a nice place for your cherished pets? A New York City hotel is offering various creature comforts for dogs and promises the ultimate in luxury for man's bestfriend.

Business Insider reports that D Pet Hotel "will spoil your dog rotten" with its suites that are larger than some New York City apartments. For $200 a night, dogs can stay in the luxury suites and watch dog-themed films on the rooms' flat screen television. They can also enjoy pedicures and custom-prepared meals in the hotel.

The report states that D Pet Hotel was designed as a place for dogs in which busy owners can drop their pets for a night or more. According to the pet hotel's official Chelsea NYC website, the property offers "modern 5 star luxury dog boarding, accommodations and amenities for your most precious companions while you are away on work or play."

The New York pet hotel offers three kinds of accommodations. The Standard Suite is the smallest, and it features an orthopedic bed and a flat screen TV. The second is the Sensational Suites, which are designed for a family of dogs who want to stay together; sibling rates are available for the room. The last is the largest dubbed Uber Suites, which comes with a full-size bed and flat screen TV.

Besides the luxurious accommodations, various dog services are also offered in the hotel, which include doggie daycare where pets can interact with other dogs; grooming, which include extras such as hot oil treatment, nail color, coat gloss and cologne; private chauffeur, which picks up the dogs from owners within a 10-mile radius from the hotel; a dog boutique, which offers various items such as dog clothing, dog-inspired books and more; and a private chef to prepare all-natural custom recipes for pets.

D Pet Hotel in Chelsea, New York was opened in 2012 by franchise owner Kerry Brown. The flagship store is in Hollywood, California, and there's also another establishment in Scottsdale, Arizona.
