The home that served as the residence of astronaut Garrett Breedlove (Jack Nicholson) in the 1983 comedy drama "Terms of Endearment" has been listed on the open market with a $3.5 million price tag, according to several news reports.
Several scenes of the movie were shot in the home, originally known as the Waldo Mansion. The backyard swimming pool, the kitchen and the master bedroom were shown exclusively in the movie, reports Houston Chronicle.
According to the listing at Realtor.com, the Waldo mansion is a 6,598-square-foot, single-family residence comprised of three bedrooms, three full and one half bathroom. Sitting on a private 0.57 acre lot, the home is fenced all around.
Interiors of the residence feature hardwood floors, high drywall ceilings, glass windows and wooden doors. A formal living room, a sitting room, an office, a dining area, a powder room and media room are some of its exclusive features.
Outside, the home is surrounded by a lily pond, ample sitting area and a parking garage. There is a detached guest house as well.

Directed by James L. Brooks, "Terms of Endearment" followed a mother and daughter as they navigated through relationships, family issues, life and death. It is based on the novel by Larry McMurtry.
Nicholson was excited when he was chosen to play the role of Garrett Breedlove. Talking about the casting, he told Eleanor Quin of Turner Classic Movies:
"...I've always wanted to play older...One of the things that motivated me with that character is that everyone was starting to make a total cliche out of middle age crisis, they were dissatisfied, they hated their job. I just went against the grain of the cliche. I just wanted to say, 'Wait a minute. I happen to be this age and I'm not in any midlife crisis. I'm not an object of scorn or pity by anybody ten years younger than me.' There's got to be other people like me, so I'd like to represent that in this movie."
