Twitch coming to Xbox One this March

Twitch is finally coming to Xbox One: The date to mark is March 11, the same day when Titanfall will be released.

When the app drops several days from now, players can shout "Xbox, broadcast" to immediately begin live streaming. To stop, they need only utter "Xbox, stop broadcast" or "Stop broadcast." Button commands are also available in lieu of these voice commands.

Aside from broadcasting heavy metal actions, Twitch updated viewing on the gen console and players will be notified when their friends are already broadcasting.

A user can view one's live stream and can opt to leave a message or chat. They can also check the broadcaster's profile, send a request, follow them or join the game.

Streaming

When Twitch was integrated to the PS4, the live streaming propelled to 1 million users. Since having the capability to live stream, the Twitch broadcasters of PS4 increased from 100,000 to 200,000 in just a matter of months.

Xbox owners, meanwhile, have been patiently waiting for the broadcast capability to live broadcast their games.

Viewing Streams

One can watch games on Xbox One or view streams coming from any system. For instance, you can view (as Microsoft mentioned) Titanfall (Xbox One), Star Craft II (PC), Minecraft (Xbox 360) and Uncharted (PS4).

Only for Xbox One

Microsoft's Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer for Xbox, Yusuf Mehdi said that this update will open the social aspect of Xbox, especially given Twitch's huge community. Users can broadcast to and view others' broadcast from any device - a console experience exclusive to Xbox One, Microsoft confirmed.
