Mitzi Shore, the founder of "The Comedy Store" on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip, has sold her Los Angeles home for $5 million.
The mother of actor and comedian Pauly Shore listed her longtime residence for $5.8 million in August 2013, but the deal didn't close until Feb. 7.
Constructed in 1936, this 5,448-square-foot European-style villa includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms, Trulia reports. According to the real estate site, while the house is located on a picturesque site, its interiors need to be rebuilt and refurbished (perhaps the reason behind a distinct lack of images of the home's interior).
The villa is located in the coveted Hollywood Hills neighborhood, with Mitzi's close neighbors including prominent names like Leonardo DiCaprio, Hally Berry and Scooter Braun.
Mitzi bought the home 40 years ago from popular Hollywood singer and actor of the 1940s era Dorothy Lamour. TMZ quotes Mitzi as saying that her childhood home is filled with memories of "parties with comics, sex with babes ... and my mom put my Slip 'n Slide on the driveway."
It's possible that Mitzi is has sold her home in part due to her failing health. Already, she has passed on much of the management of her comedy club to her family - a move that has already resulted in a lawsuit between her sons.
The octogenarian is known for helping to cultivate many well-known comedians and late night talk show hosts, including David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, Chelsea Handler, Richard Pryor and Robin Williams.
