Nicholas Perricone, skin care mogul, lists oceanfront Vero Beach mansion

Dr. Nicholas Perricone, renowned dermatologist, has listed his ocean-front 14,000-square-foot mansion in posh Vero Beach, Fla., for $16,995,000, according to the Wall Street Journal.

One of the largest gated properties in John's Island, which is considered to be among the top 100 Platinum Clubs of America, this wealthy skin care specialist's house sits on a vast lot measuring more than 2.27 acres. The mansion features five bedrooms, six full and two half bathrooms.

Built in 2007, this Georgian-style property comes with comprehensive home automation and security systems.

According to the listing, the entire flooring is done with Turkish limestone, while the ceilings of the first floor are 12 feet high with vaulted treatments.

The double-door covered entry leads to a foyer complete with classic pillars. An open music room with an adjacent bar opens onto terraces overlooking the lounge pool while a Palladian window illuminates a formal dining room.

Upstairs, the property features a sunset balcony with an ocean-view sitting area with an adjacent full-service bar area. In the south wing, there is a second master suite that opens to a private oceanfront balcony and features a sitting bay, walk-in closet, bath with soaking tub, separate shower and double vanities.

On the outside, the property includes covered loggias to help residents escape the Florida sun. Beyond the lush green lawns that surround the property lies 93 feet of beachfront accessible via a private dune walkway.

The property also includes a 2,064-square-foot guest house with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large gym, sauna and a juice bar.

According to the Journal, Perricone paid $10 million for the home in 2009 and is selling the place fully furnished as he doesn't "want to be bothered with moving furniture." The dermatologist says he is selling the property because he is "too busy" to visit it.
