Apple Watch 2.0 Release Date Leaked, the Second Gen Apple Watch Expected to Launch in Q2 2016

The Apple Watch 2 is rumored to launch in late spring of 2016.

The original Apple Watch was launched in September 2014. With the success of the first generation Apple Watch despite the mixed opinion that the market has on this smartwatch, it makes sense that Apple would want to release a successor. So the question is when the second generation Apple Watch be out will.

According to G for Games, the Apple Watch was assembled and still being manufactured by Taiwan-based manufacturer, Quanta Computer. Quanta's chairman Barry Lam is said to have revealed during an investor meeting that Apple Watch 2 is already in development. If this were true it is still in line with what Apple said about releasing the wearable, that the company will not release a new Watch yearly.

Based on the rumors that have emerged following the announcement of Quanta's chairman, Apple Watch 2 might come out in Q2 2016. Details are still scarce as of now but some reports suggest that Apple Watch 2 might include a 3G modem inside.

According to Wearable.com, most people would expect the second-generation Apple Watch to have longer battery life or at least provide more juice to accommodate more features or enough battery power to let an onscreen time display go for one whole day.

Daniel Matte, the head of Wearables research at Canalys comments, "It would be great if Apple could utilise Samsung Foundry's 14FF process to manufacture the chipsets in the Apple Watch 2. It's already using them in the iPhone, and it would provide major benefits for energy efficiency, which would impact performance and battery life."

Other than the battery life, the website also mention that some people hope that Apple would come up with other color schemes and designs. Other features such as more apps, "Siri", wide range health monitors were also mentioned.
