Carlos Santana sells Las Vegas pad for $2.85 million, takes loss on deal

Carlos Santana, the Guitar God, has reportedly sold his Las Vegas mansion for $2.8 million, according to the Realtor Blog, which broke news of the sale.

The pop-rock fusion artist has taken a huge loss on the sale, which was finalized Feb. 19.

Santana purchased the home back in 2010 for $3.5 million, listing it for the first time three years later for $3.75 million. Failing to sell over the next few months, he discounted the price tag and listed it for $3.49 million in August that same year.

Apparently, the musician was desperate to sell, as he ultimately settled for a $600,000 hit on the sale price.

Listing records of the house state that the residence is a 7,241-square-foot home sitting on a 0.47-acre lot. The house has four bedrooms and six bathrooms and boasts hardwood and tiled floors with large glass windows and doors.

Living spaces include two large drawing rooms, two family rooms, two dining areas and a den. The double-story home also has a state-of-the-art kitchen with a built-in pantry, wet bar and media room.

Outside, the home has a built-in barbecue, large patios and courtyards, an in-ground spa with a waterfall, a dog run and three covered parking spaces.

Santana lives in the house right next to the property he just sold. Purchased for $6 million in June 2013, the home has a fully equipped game room, screening room, gym and studio. Outside, the home has a small putting green, a resort-style pool and a large parking garage that resembles "Batman's secret basement."

Santana is currently touring South Africa. According to IOL Tonight, tickets for his three-day concert have already sold out.
