Celebrity Real Estate: Former NBA Star Donyell Marshall Selling Pennsylvania Home

The mountain-top home of former NBA Star, Donyell Marshall, located in Reading, PA is up for sale with a price tag of $1.6 million.

During his 15-year career with the NBA, Marshall has played with eight different teams. The retired NBA star is best known for sinking 12 three-pointers during a 2005 game against the 76ers. Marshall has tied the record with Kobe Bryant in the league for most three-pointers hit in a single game.

He earned approximately $72.4 million during his 15 years of playing with the league, and is now sharing his basketball knowledge as an assistant coach in Buffalo, NY.

According to Realtor, the five-bedroom contemporary home of the former NBA forward sits on a 13-acre lot surrounded by trees "on top of a mountain." The massive 7,120 square feet home of the 42-year-old retired NBA player has a nice feature of an indoor pool.

The home also has a room with great features of indoor greenery, a bench, and wood floors that separate the Zen garden. It also has an indoor regular racquetball court, a detached guesthouse, and an outdoor tennis court.

One Bid Wonders reports that during his time as an NBA player, Marshall once flew from city to city on chartered planes and dressed in palatial locker rooms across the country. Now he travels around coach bus seats, trying to be comfortable in his 6-foot-9 frame. Marshall had his last and lowest-paying NBA season with the 76ers, which paid him $1.2 million in 2008-09. Marshall is now assisting Rider head coach Kevin Baggett, but it's not his desperate way of making ends meet.

He has also held assistant coaching jobs with George Washington University and the NBA D-League's Maine Red Claws.

As a former NBA forward, Marshall has practiced against Tyson Chandler in Chicago and Zydrunas Ilgauskas in Cleveland, and also Karl Malone in Utah.

Marshall has been selected as the No. 4 pick in the NBA draft in 1994.
