Sony On The Lookout for Terrorists Using PlayStation 4 For Communication

A devastating terrorist attack shook the world last November 13th [Friday] as hundreds lost their lives in a span of 24 hours in Paris. As of the latest updates on CNN, the terrorist group ISIS claimed responsibility for the killings in a statement. In response to their treacherous act, France sent out air strikes targeting Raqqa, Syria, which is the organization's stronghold.

As of the moment, State of Emergency remains in France and 1,500 troops were deployed to secure the "particularly strategic locations."

A manhunt is being done worldwide for the Belgian French National Salah Abdeslam who is suspected to be responsible for being involved in the said attacks.

In regards to these attacks, As per International Business Times, it was said that the game console PlayStation 4 was used by the terrorist group.

A report from Brussels Weekly then emerged that Jan Jambon, who is the Belgian federal home affairs minister, warned the public about the PlayStation 4's popularity among terror network. It was also stated that there are several ways that ISIS and other terrorist groups could communicate using the game console.

"The thing that keeps me awake at night is the guy behind his computer, looking for messages from [the Islamic State] and other hate preachers, PlayStation 4 is even more difficult to keep track of than WhatsApp."

As per TMZ, Sony reacted to the news that the terrorist that tormented Paris may have used PlayStation 4 to pass on their communication secretly. As per the news website, the rep Sony, which is the company that manufactures PS4 stated that:

"We are dedicated to checking behavior and we urge our users and partners to report activities that may be offensive, suspicious or illegal, the rep then added that: When we identify or are notified of such conduct and verify it, we are committed to reviewing it and taking appropriate action."
