'Forza Motorsport 6' Micro-Transactions Are Back, Tokens Can Be Purchased As An Option

When Turn 10 recently released two exciting new "Halo 5" cars for "Forza Motorsport 6," fans thought that content for the racing game will just keep coming for free. However, contrary to what the developer recently promised that there will be no money involved in any additional content, micro-transactions seemed to have found its way to "Forza 6."

According to Hard Core Gamer, Content Director John Wendl has announced during a round-table discussion that micro-transactions would return to "Forza Motorsport 6" if the players ask for it. A group of players probably did as money-based transactions such as purchasing tokens in certain denominations has suddenly began. These token, like the in-game credits, then can be used to acquire additional cars or update or "pimp" currently owned vehicles through mods.

So how are tokens acquired? According to Team VVV, a pack of 100 "Forza Motorsport 6" Tokens can costs $0.99. There will be increments in the price of the packs depending on the number of tokens it has, all the way up to $99.99 for 20,000 "Forza Motorsport 6" tokens. One can imagine what the 20,000 can do.

Those who want to acquire more cars, upgrade their vehicles but don't want to spend a dime on "Forza Motorsports 6" tokens would have to play double time to earn credits and XP. But for those who are a little impatient and have a few to spare like what Director John Wendl had also said during the said discussion, the tokens are "just as an option or something like that."

"Forza Motorsports 6" was developed by Turn 10 Studios for Xbox One exclusively. It was released world-wide on Sept. 15, 2015. The most recently added cars to "Forza Motorsports 6" are the Ford cars with themes inspired by another Xbox-exclusive title "Halo 5: Guardians."
