Ian Rogers, the man once in charge of Apple's new streaming music offering, Beats 1, is letting go of his Los Angeles home following his sudden departure from the tech company.
Realtor.com reports that Rogers is currently seeking $3.3 million for his ultra modern home, which is described by the site as "sleek" and "well designed."
The 4,200-square-foot, four-bedroom Southern California home is currently represented by Denise Freed of BKF Properties under Re/Max Estate Properties. The property features oak flooring, marble countertops, three fireplaces, a large open section which one can use as an office or a library, glass panels for walls, high ceilings, a modern kitchen furnished with Viking appliances, and a deck right off the master suite upstairs. Outside, there is a pool, a detached studio, and a yard.
Being a former executive for Apple, Roger's home is installed with a Sonos sound system and security system that is controlled by an iPad.
The move to sell the home is a promise of a high-ranking position with Louis Vuitton, a luxury goods corporation based in Europe. Rogers' sudden departure from Apple was unexpected, according to a report by Forbes. Just less than three months after the launch of Apple Music, Rogers tendered his resignation last week to the shock of the management and staff of Apple. Observers speculate that Rogers is leaving the whole music business for good.
With the successful launch of Apple Music, Rogers reportedly felt that he has achieved a great milestone and is eyeing other endeavors that will provide him with gratification.
In an email to the New York Times, the former music executive for the Cupertino-based tech firm made himself clear: "I asked my wife the night of the Apple Music announcement: Was that the starting gun or the finish line for me in the digital music race? I decided I'm ready for a new challenge both professionally and personally."
